All our NCR 56xx 3DES kits are made by a third party, and are VEPP-compliant. However, NCR stopped production of the 5600 before they started producing 3DES ATMs. Thus, unless you bought your ATM refurbished and it was already upgraded, or if you upgraded sometime in the past few years by a technician, it is not Triple DES compliant. NCR makes various 56xx ATMs, including the 5600, 5605, 5640, etc. They all look similar and perform similar functions. Yet how can you tell if you have a NCR 56 series? Look at the picture on the left. The NCR 5600s are bigger, heavy, bulky ATMs.
